To develop the ability to:

COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT
  • Name the basic colors
  • Recognize the 4 basic shapes, recreate a simple pattern
  • Count by rote to 10
  • Recognize his/her written name
  • Know his/her first and last name
  • Listen to and follow 2 directional commands
  • Listen to a story
  • Begin to recognize same and different Understand basic relational terms (up, down, in, out, middle, etc.)
  • Enjoy singing and taking part in musical activities

WORK HABITS

  • Listen and follow directions
  • Clean up after work and play with help

PERSONAL HABITS

  • Use the bathroom without assistance
  • Keep nose clean
  • Take off and hang coat in proper place
  • Zipper jacket and some buttons
  • Rest at rest time provided
  • Show some responsibility for belongings
  • Have acceptable table manners

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

  • Play well with others
  • Respect authority outside the home
  • Be kind to friends and share
  • Listen when others speak
  • Meet people without shyness

physical development

  • Use paste, glue, clay and paint properly
  • Assemble non-interlocking puzzles (6-8 pieces)
  • String beads
  • Hold crayons in proper position
  • Cut with scissors in the correct position
  • Catch a large ball, balance on one foot
  • Jump in one place, run with an even gait
  • Walk on a line alternating feet
